What is a Humanist Ceremony?

What exactly is a humanist ceremony? There is a lovely short video clip below by Stephen Fry who explains Humanist ceremonies beautifully.

A humanist ceremony is difficult to describe, each ceremony, whether that be a wedding or a funeral, is completely personal and unique. You are also the one in the deciding seat, and working with your celebrant, together you can create a truly special occasion.

All humanist ceremonies, no matter the type are:

Unique

Every ceremony bespoke for you and your loved ones, there is no set script.

Tailored

The mood, tone, and content is completely tailored to how you want it.

Non-Religious

Ceremonies are inclusive for everyone, whatever your beliefs.

Collaborative

We will work together to create the meaningful ceremony you desire.

Personal

The focus lies completely on the person or couple, it's all about them.

Approved

Drafts, feedback and approval is essential, you decide when its right.

You may want a ceremony that is relaxed or formal, traditional or unique, large or small. With a humanist ceremony the possibilities and locations are endless. Absolutely everything is unique and tailored for you or your loved ones.
